Tell us about yourself! What do you do outside of Gem Studio?

My life is school and Gem! I am studying at UVU in business and accounting (gross and nerdy, I know). I love to dance and use dance as another way to express myself. I also just love humans! So, outside of me trying to be an adult, I love to be with people that feel like sunshine! I love crazy adventures, chill nights, and overall just quantity time.

What inspired this collection?

For one, I only wear neutral colors and wanted beautiful rings to match every occasion (haha). But, as I thought about it more, I think the black and white represents the simplicity of life. Life can be so crazy and complex and full, but every once in a while I like to step back and appreciate the simple, yet beautiful things. The quiet moments. The still moments.

What are you most passionate about?

I am passionate about love. The world can be dark, but love brings in the light. Everyone deserves to feel the light of life and know that they are loved like crazy.

What is currently playing on your Spotify/Apple Music?

The most random things imaginable haha, but my most played the past few days are:

  • young and alive by bazzi

  • lovers by anna of the north

  • not mad anymore by ashe

  • high school by chloe lilac

  • dna [demo] by LANY

  • roses by gashi

What do you want to manifest in your life over the next year?

I want to manifest personal peace. Life is constantly changing and unsteady and I just want to manifest peace in my journey and happiness on this wild ride.

What is your favorite gem, and why?

I'm a sucker for Opals and Buffalo Turquoise. Can we tell I like black and white? I love how Opals have reflections of colors and look like mermaid tails. I also will always love Turquoise and Larimar because of the beautiful blues. Turquoise is always on my fingers because of the healing and calm essence it carries.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Honestly, my favorite part of my job is meeting and working with new people everyday. I leave a shift with new friends every time! I have kept in touch with many previous customers and am grateful for all they’ve added to my life.

What is your favorite gem studio memory?

I can't choose one! From staying late after work, to working on collections and having dance parties wayyyyy too late, to having the studio to yourself and three hilarious sisters on their night out, from having long life talks with gem mama lo, to snuggling zola, from constant runs to rocky mountain chocolate factory or door dashing swig on a triple shift. Gem is overall a good time surrounded by good people.
